The 2025 TVS Raider was spotted at a dealership with several value additions including rear disc brake, single-channel ABS and wider tyres.

TVS Motor Company is all set to launch the 2025 Raider in the next few days in the Indian market. However, ahead of the launch, the bike has been captured on camera with multiple value additions such as rear disc brake and single-channel ABS. TVS Raider was launched in 2021 and it will be the first update for the motorcycle to match its competitors such as Honda CB125 Hornet, Hero Xtreme 125R and Bajaj Pulsar NS125. In addition, with the new update, it will be the only model in its segment to get a rear disc brake.

The Union Govt has made single-channel ABS mandatory for two-wheelers from Jan 2026 and hence, ahead of the deadline, TVS has updated the Raider with this feature. Going by the pics, it looks as if the ABS has been borrowed from the lower-spec Apache RTR. Also, till now, the entire variant line-up of the Raider was presented with only a front disc brake.

More importantly, the pics reveal that TVS might have also changed the tyre size by offering wider units in the updated model. The ongoing version of TVS Raider rides on 80/100-17 front and 100/90-17 rear tyres which appears to have been replaced by 90/90-17 front and 110/80-17 units, respectively. The wider tyres would bring more stability to the bike.

The variant seen in the pics is likely to be the iGo with a colour LCD display instead of the range-topping SX trim which gets a 5-inch TDT screen. Hence, it is believed that the top-end SX trim will also come with these changes, which include wider tyres, rear disc brake and single-channel ABS. Since the 2025 TVS Raider has been spotted at a dealership, we can expect the pricing to be announced very soon.

Mechanically, the 2025 TVS Raider will continue to carry the same 124.8cc single-cylinder air/oil-cooled engine which generates maximum power of 11.2 bhp and peak torque of 11.2 Nm while paired to a 5-speed gearbox. The bike does a 0-60 kmph sprint in merely 5.8 secs. Tipping the weighing scale at 123 kg, the 2025 TVS Raider has a ground clearance of 180 mm.

The Raider is offered with telescopic front suspension and monoshock absorber at the rear. It has fuel tank capacity of 10 litres. The size of the rear disc is not known yet, but the front disc unit has a 240 mm diameter. All this equipment will be retained from the current model in the upcoming 2025 Raider.
